Lisa has nearly finished the coursework for her degree from Stanford, a Masters in Liberal Arts (the program is called "MLA"). The dissertation comes next, which probably means she will be at her desk like this for a good part of next year...
She also embraced a new exercise regimen called "boot camp"; their daily workouts sometimes include 150 pushups, and are held at the Stanford Stadium so that they can also run up and down the stadium stairs lots of times (sound like fun?). Steve tried it out for a month but whimped out. Lisa has now kept it up for 7 months and is in great shape. Other activities include lots of PTA stuff (she is co-president this year) and editing/publishing a literary journal for the MLA program. On top of this, she keeps the family organized and cooks wonderful things for us like cat-shaped birthday cakes....
